Introduction

The LifeLink Foundation was established in 1998 to raise a capital reserve of $10 million to be prudently and ethically invested ‘to return in perpetuity’ an annual source of operational funding for the important work of our LifeLink social service agencies.

This Foundation will provide LifeLink agencies a guaranteed level of funding and help them continue a tradition of caring for people in need within the Western Australian Community.

How does a Foundation Appeal work?

There are many reasons why you may choose to make a gift to the LifeLink Foundation.

  • You may prefer to make a significant gift which provides ongoing benefit, rather than contributing to general appeals for the recurrent funding needs of our agencies.
  • You may choose to pledge an annual gift for a specified term.
  • You may wish to make a provision, a bequest, in your Will.
  • Or provide a living gift in memory of a loved one.

Importantly, under Canon (Church) Law and Civil Law, funds raised by the Foundation may only be used for its original stated purpose; to support only LifeLink agencies, which benefits people in need within the community.

The Foundation’s financial accounts are independently audited and reported to the West Australian Charitable Collections Commission (WACCC) each year.

Is my gift tax deductible?

Yes.

Any donation over $2 made to the LifeLink Foundation is tax deductible and official receipts will be provided for all gifts received. Taxation benefit may apply.

Is there a minimum donation level?

Any gift, no matter how large or small, will be gratefully received and appreciated!

As a practical guide, the LifeLink Foundation has received gifts ranging from $500 up to $500,000. There have also been pledged donations of $1,000-$20,000 provided each year for a period of years.
